About the Team
Our Solution Consulting team acts as a strategic partner to the sales organization, responsible for building a compelling vision of Workdays Human Capital Management (HCM) solution within the Professional & Business Services Industry.\ It is this team\'s job to bring the value of Workdays HCM solutions to life and showcase how the world of work can be transformed within the Professional & Business Services industry. Along with working closely with our sales counterparts to drive Customer Base upsells, this team also collaborates regularly with our Product Management, Services/Implementation, Marketing, and Value Management teams on account activity. This provides unique exposure to various areas of the business. As our customer base continues to grow, our SCs also support proactive engagements to accelerate product adoption & optimization to improve overall customer health and enable continued customer growth.
About the Role
We are seeking a Senior HCM Solution Consultant to join our Professional & Business Services presales team.
Workday Solution Consultants act as trusted advisors throughout the entire sales lifecycle. We navigate a highly complex environment that demands a blend of curiosity, flexibility, and drive. Our solution consultants don\'t just demo features and functions, they deliver value-based executive presentations and tailored product demonstrations that solve unique business challenges.
Our Solution Consulting team is a strategic partner to the Sales organization. You will work closely with Account Executives and your peer Solution Consultants to support a combination of fast-moving, efficient opportunities as well as large, strategic deals that require deep investment. In partnership with our sales and customer success teams, we ensure that the worlds leading professional & business services companies are not only adopting our technology but transforming their \"world of work\" to drive measurable business outcomes.
Solution Consultants are an important driver to our business. You will have an important role in spotting opportunities to better support our customers, uplevel your peers, and operate with efficiency and purpose. You will participate in various projects, initiatives, and cross-functional teams to achieve our teams goals of driving increased revenue for Workday and sustainable business outcomes for customers by leveraging Workday technology. Our culture is a key foundation of how we work together and how we hold each other accountable.
Based near a Workday office.
Ability to travel up to 50% as required.
About You
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Pursuit & Expansion: Orchestrate the end-to-end technical sales cycle for Customer Base accounts, including deep-dive discovery, tailored solution demonstrations, and strategic vision workshops.
Adoption & Value Realization: Lead proactive \"Health Check\" and optimization engagements to identify underutilized capabilities, securing long-term customer health and revenue retention.
Executive Influence: Deliver high-stakes presentations to CHROs and IT leadership, aligning Workdays innovation roadmap with their strategic business needs.
Cross-Functional Advocacy: Serve as the \"Voice of the Financial Customer\" by partnering with Product Management & Marketing to influence the future of Workdays industry-specific offerings.
About You
Basic Qualifications
5+ years Pre-sales field experience within cloud-based HCM ecosystems (e.g. Workday, SAP, Oracle, etc.)
5+ years of deep Human Capital Management expertise (Core HR, Talent, Recruitment, Learning, Payroll, etc.).
