Jacobs Sr Project Manager - Geospatial in Chicago, Illinois
Jacobs is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager with expertise in geospatial technologies. You will serve as the primary project and/or client contact, responsible for delivery of overall work and technical performance. You will lead cross-disciplinary teams in the planning, development, and delivery of data-driven infrastructure, water, and transportation projects. The ideal candidate possesses extensive knowledge in GIS, and the application of technology to support systems integrations.
Responsibilities:
Engage with clients to define project scope, expectations, and deliverables.
Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of geospatial projects.
Oversee project budgets, schedules, contracts, and quality assurance.
Direct multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, analysts, software developers and field staff.
Guide preparation of reports, presentations, and data visualizations for decision-makers.
Support Sales teams in preparing and pitching project proposals to existing and prospective clients.
Estimate proposed project timelines, team assignments, costs, etc.
Location: Requires 2 days per week in a Jacobs office
Substantial professional years (10+) of relevant experience managing projects in a GIS environment, with a proven track record of technical expertise and successful project delivery for major infrastructure and/or technology projects.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geomatics, GIS, related field, or equivalent experience with a differing degree
Proficiency in GIS platforms and related data management tools.
Demonstrated ability to manage large, complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
Excellent communication, leadership, and client-relations skills.
Ability to analyze, interpret, and present technical data to non-technical audiences.
Preferred:
GISP credentials
Strong business development skills, including proposal writing and client engagement.
Ability to lead change management and technology adoption within organizations.
