Beyond Milestones Therapy Inc. is a Chicago-based, family-owned clinic working with various developmental needs in children, adolescents, and young adults. Some of the populations and diagnoses we work with include but are not limited to Autism Spectrum Disorder, speech and language disorders, and feeding difficulties. Our speech and occupational services work to improve clients speech skills, communication, sensory processing, fine motor and gross motor skills.
Position Summary
We are seeking a compassionate, motivated, and detail-oriented Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join our multidisciplinary clinical team. The SLPA will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to implement individualized treatment plans and support the pediatric population in developing their communication, speech, and language skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to clients as directed by the supervising SLP.
- Support the SLP in screenings and evaluations and assist in the assessment of speech and language disorders.
- Implement treatment plans and therapy activities designed by the supervising SLP.
- Collect and record data on client performance and progress toward goals, documenting session notes in Ensora Rehab Therapy Suite and physical files.
- Prepare therapy materials and equipment for sessions per client goals and needs.
- Collaborate with caregivers and interdisciplinary team members to support goal carryover and functional success in daily environments.
- Provide home programs and parent/caregiver training to reinforce therapy strategies outside of sessions.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, state licensure regulations, and payer requirements.
- Participate in continuing education, clinical development initiatives, and any necessary team/company meetings.
Education and Certification
- Valid Illinois SLPA Certification issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) AND
- Associates degree from an IDFPR-approved speech-language pathology assistant program.

- Bachelors degree in communication disorders and/or speech-language pathology from an accredited institution.
Experience
Completion of required supervised clinical experience hours as per Illinois state law.
At least 6 months experience working in a speech-language therapy setting.
Familiarity with speech therapy tools and patient management/documentation software.
CPR or BLS certification.
Understanding of special education regulations and practices.
Demonstrated knowledge of developmental milestones, speech-language disorders, and therapy implementation techniques.
Strong organizational and documentation skills including excellent spelling and grammar. Solid verbal
