Our client is seeking a dedicated and innovative Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join their dynamic team. As a Senior SRE, you will play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing high-availability production environments supporting cutting-edge solutions. Location: Chicago, IL - Onsite
Duration: 12+ months with highly possible extension / conversion
What's the Job?
Manage and optimize high-availability production environments to ensure seamless service delivery.
Architect and implement complex Kubernetes (GKE/K8s) and Docker solutions, including multi-cluster orchestration and Helm charts.
Develop automation tooling and custom operators using Go or Python to streamline operations and improve system reliability.
Build and maintain closed-loop remediation systems utilizing OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, and Grafana for intelligence-driven operations.
Implement zero-trust security measures, including TPM integrations, LUKS encryption, and secure TLS tunnels for edge-to-cloud connectivity.
What's Needed?
8-12 years of experience managing high-availability production environments.
Expert-level proficiency in Kubernetes (GKE/K8s) and Docker, with the ability to architect complex solutions.
Advanced programming skills in Go or Python, capable of developing custom operators and interacting with GCP APIs.
Proven experience with Google Cloud Platform and Infrastructure as Code practices.
Knowledge of security implementations such as TPM, LUKS encryption, and secure network tunnels.
