As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a higher-education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support students, faculty, staff, and visitors with clear communication, service-focused assistance, and timely reporting. What You'll Do:
Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, common spaces, and perimeter points to help to deter policy violations and/or unauthorized access.
Monitor access points and public areas, check identification and/or credentials when required by site policy, and report irregular conditions.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and coordinating with campus personnel and/or local responders as directed.
Document patrol activity, incidents, and service requests in written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate relevant updates to supervisors and site contacts.
Minimum Requirements:
Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
Be 21+ years of age.
Customer Service Experience - preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
