SCIENCE TEACHER (CHICAGO, IL)
Design, write and use lesson plans; teach Science to high school students through lectures, discussions, and demonstrations; implement appropriate instructional and learning strategies, activities, materials and equipment; establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects, and communicate these objectives to students; prepare students for standardized tests and science-related competitions; coordinate school science fairs and extracurricular activities as assigned; employ technology practices to strengthen the instructional process; help students assess and enhance their study methods and habits; produce formal and informal testing to evaluate student success; prepare the classroom to enhance learning and to aid in physical, social and emotional development of students; provide input on book, equipment and material selection; establish communication rapport with parents, students, principals and teachers through meetings and conferences; gather, manage and maintain all reports, records, and other documents required; be active in faculty and professional meetings, educational conferences and assist in staff committees as necessary.
Master\'s degree in a science or science-related engineering major, 12 months of full-time experience in the job, and any Illinois State educator license required. \$72,213 per year.
