OVERVIEW
We are currently seeking a HSE Operations Specialist to be based in our Chicago, Detroit, or Atlanta office.
The HSE Operations Specialist is responsible for supporting the HSE Department to develop, implement, and problem solve for programs and policies to achieve a best-in-class HSE program. Supports the HSE Department to ensure HSE programs and policies are consistent across all business divisions and geographic regions and in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Periodically conducts comprehensive reviews of HSE department programs and policies. Recommends to HSE leadership improvement opportunities, corrective actions and tracks progress.
Provides systematic support, training, and education on HSE department programs and policies. Seeks feedback and tracks changes for HSE department programs and policies.
Supports HSE Program Manager with Corporate HSE programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations.
Manages HSE programs/softwares and technology to support all projects/regions. Coordinates with third party vendors to ensure accounts are in good standing. Manages active jobs and provides support for teams to ensure compliance. Coordinates with third party vendors to ensure accounts are in good standing. Manages, analyzes, and compiles department safety data. Conducts weekly review of all incident summaries, lessons learned, and interactions with federal and state agencies.
Supports the HSE Program Manager with the management of the HSE Walsh Works/Users page. Including review of referenced pages and feedback for improvement opportunities and corrective actions.
Supports the HSE Program Manager in the review of Walsh Group HSE forms. Including review of HSE documents for improvement opportunities and corrective actions.
Supports HSE Program Manager in the tracking of all OSHA, MSHA, Coast Guard. EPA and other Gov’t agencies interactions. Conducts monthly review of Government databases for changes.
Supports the HSE Program Manager in the maintenance and accuracy of all OSHA logs (300/300A/301). Assist in the submission and distribution of all OSHA logs for HSE department.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma, Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
BCSP Certifications preferred
3+ years of experience in the construction safety field
Salary range $86k-130K
