Position Overview
The AIM/IR Conversions Project Manager – is responsible for leading end-to-end technology integration projects for acquired firms, as part of the M&A Integration Team. It will primary focused on Vertafore AIM and ImageRight (IR) platform conversions. This role requires deep expertise in data migration and conversion, vendor management, and stakeholder engagement across business and technical teams. The Senior Project Manager oversees all aspects of AIM/IR conversion projects, ensuring on-time, in-scope, and high-quality delivery while managing complex data conversion workstreams and cross-functional dependencies. This role reports to the M&A PPM senior manager.
Core Responsibilities
Project Management & Delivery
Lead and manage full lifecycle AIM/IR conversion projects from initiation through go-live and post-conversion stabilization
Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, technical estimates, and deliverable timelines for a portfolio of concurrent conversion projects
Manage scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation across internal teams and external vendors
Drive multiple concurrent integration projects, prioritizing tasks, identifying critical path items, and proactively assessing and mitigating risks
Identify and communicate issues, risks, and/or changes throughout the infrastructure integration process in accordance with PPM governance and methodology
Establish and enforce project governance, including status reporting, escalation protocols, and decision-making frameworks
Track and report on key project metrics, including cycle time, milestone adherence, and quality indicators
Manage activities related to transitioning the acquired business to a steady state within HUB
Data Conversion & Technical Oversight
Oversee complex data conversion and migration activities, including data mapping, validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance across AIM and ImageRight platforms
Partner with technical teams to define data conversion requirements, develop transformation rules, and resolve data integrity issues
Lead technical assessment, scoping, and management of application configuration changes based on business requirements and platform standards
Ensure adherence to enterprise application standards and integration playbooks throughout the conversion lifecycle
Identify and manage data-related risks, including data quality gaps, legacy system dependencies, and conversion exceptions
Vendor Management
Manage relationships with third-party vendors and service providers involved in AIM/IR conversions, including Vertafore and data migration partners
Coordinate vendor deliverables, timelines, and quality standards; hold vendors accountable to contractual commitments
Facilitate vendor escalations and negotiate resolutions to ensure project timelines are not adversely impacted
Stakeholder Management & Communication
Serve as the primary point of contact for business stakeholders, regional partners (OILs), and leadership on AIM/IR conversion projects
Clearly articulate and communicate technical requirements, risks, and project status to non-technical business partners and senior leadership
Build and maintain strong working relationships across cross-functional teams, including Enterprise Applications, Client Analytics, and operational teams
Facilitate project kickoffs, design sessions, go/no-go decisions, and post-conversion retrospectives
Leadership & Continuous Improvement

Contribute to the development and refinement of integration playbooks, templates, and best practices
Identify process improvement opportunities to reduce conversion cycle times and improve quality outcomes
Support organizational change management efforts related to platform transitions
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor’s Degree in an IT related area, engineering, business management, or related discipline
7+ years of project management experience, with at least 3 years managing complex technology integration or data conversion projects
Experience planning, managing, scheduling, and directly supervising resources on project activities
Strong knowledge of Vertafore AIM and/or ImageRight platforms, including configuration, data structures, and conversion workflows
Demonstrated expertise in data migration and conversion, including data mapping, validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance processes
Proven experience managing third-party vendors, including contract management, performance monitoring, and escalation resolution
Experience managing cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders at all levels of the organization
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on data-driven decision making
Experience working in a matrix organization, effectively communicating, collaborating, and executing with teams not under direct control
Authorized to work in the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico
Preferred
PMP, PgMP, or equivalent project management certification
Experience in the insurance industry, including one or more of the following lines: P&C, Employee Benefits, Specialty Retail, Retirement and Private Wealth, 401k/Pension Benefits, or MGA/MGU/Wholesale
Prior experience working in a high-volume M&A technology integration environment
Familiarity with broker management systems beyond AIM/IR (e.g., Applied Epic, Sagitta)
Experience with data analytics or reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, SQL) as they relate to conversion validation
Knowledge of change management methodologies (e.g., ADKAR, Prosci)
