Job Title: Production Supervisor

Job Description

The Production Supervisor oversees daily and weekly production schedules in a fresh food manufacturing facility, ensuring that materials, inventory, and staffing align with customer demand. This role actively supports execution on the production floor, quickly adjusts plans when conditions change, and consistently upholds food safety and quality standards. The position requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to communicate schedule changes, prevent production delays, and help ensure on-time customer orders.

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage detailed daily and weekly production schedules to meet customer demand and delivery commitments.

  • Adjust production plans quickly in response to changes in demand, staffing levels, or equipment availability.

  • Ensure all required materials and inventory are available to support scheduled production activities.

  • Monitor production progress and proactively address issues to prevent delays and missed customer orders.

  • Communicate schedule changes, priorities, and production status clearly across teams, including production, inventory, and supply chain.

  • Spend regular time on the production floor to support execution, resolve issues, and ensure adherence to the schedule.

  • Coordinate with inventory and supply chain functions to maintain accurate stock levels and minimize shortages or overstock.

  • Use ERP systems and Microsoft Excel to plan, update, and track production schedules and inventory levels.

  • Follow and support food safety, quality, and compliance standards at all times within the production environment.

  • Promote efficient, organized, and safe work practices in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing setting.

  • Work weekends as part of a regular schedule to support production needs and meet customer requirements.

Essential Skills

  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish.

  • 1–2 years of experience in production planning or scheduling.

  • Hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

  • Strong skills in production scheduling and production planning.

  • Experience with inventory management and coordination with production needs.

  • Ability to use ERP systems for production and inventory planning.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for planning, tracking, and reporting.

  • Ability and willingness to work weekends as part of a regular schedule.

  • Strong communication skills to clearly convey schedule changes and priorities across teams.

  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing demand, staffing, or equipment conditions.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in fresh food manufacturing.

  • Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, or other food safety principles and practices.

  • Experience with ERP or production planning software beyond basic usage.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills in a high-volume environment.

  • Ability to balance office-based planning with active support on the production floor.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
