The Role

As a member of the Internal Audit team, the individual will be a cross-disciplined leader, involved in Hyatt’s hotel audit activities, SOC-1, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), and corporate projects. Where necessary, the individual will be responsible for coordinating activities with external service providers and various departments. The individual will work independently under general direction from the Internal Audit Director with extensive latitude for initiative and independent judgment. The individual will represent the Corporate Internal Audit team in the US and Canada region.

•Lead and execute internal audit activities across corporate, hotel, SOX, and other operational audits, including planning, fieldwork, reporting, and follow-up.

•Lead Hyatt’s SOC-1 program end to end, including planning, scoping, stakeholder coordination, walkthroughs, testing support, issue management, report review, and remediation follow-up; collaborate closely with stakeholders within Internal Audit, across the business, and with external providers.

•Manage and develop audit staff through all phases of the audit lifecycle, including coaching, delegation, performance feedback, and career development.

•Evaluate control deficiencies and audit findings, communicate results through clear written reports and presentations, and track remediation to completion.

•Partner with management and 3rd party service provider(s) to coordinate scope, timing, and resources for audits.

•Represent Internal Audit on cross-functional initiatives, management meetings, and organizational project teams, while helping educate stakeholders on audit processes and control expectations.

•Partner with the Senior Manager of AI and Tech Enablement to enhance audit testing through analytics and AI-enabled approaches.

•Support the Director, Internal Audit in planning and overseeing audit operations, including team management, training, and performance oversight, as needed.

•Demonstrate a commitment to Hyatt core values

Qualifications:

Experience Required:

•5 years full-time external and/or internal experience, including experience leading audits and supervising staff

•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related fields

•Big 4 experience

•Strong written and verbal communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to work effectively through ambiguity.

•Ability to travel up to 50% based on business needs

Experience Preferred:

•CPA, CIA, CFE or Chartered Accountant certification

•Experience with Oracle and Hyperion Financials preferred

•Experience with Microsoft Suite or similar software programs are essential

•Experience in the hospitality industry, or related knowledge preferred

The salary range for this position is $98,000 to $135,000. This position is also eligible to earn incentive awards and an annual bonus.

The final pay rate/salary offered to the successful candidate will depend on experience, skill level and other qualifications for the role, as well as the location of the performance of work. Pay for the successful candidate will meet local requirements, including the local minimum wage rate.
