Job Title: Lead Test Automation Engineer
Overview
We are seeking a forward-thinking Test Automation Leader passionate about leveraging cutting-edge automation technologies and AI-driven solutions to elevate quality engineering practices. This role combines technical excellence, mentorship, and strategic influence, enabling our QA team to transition from manual testing to full-scale automation across diverse platforms and cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
Automation Engineering & Innovation
Design, implement, and maintain scalable, maintainable test automation frameworks using modern tools such as Microsoft Playwright, Postman, Selenium, and emerging technologies.
Integrate automation seamlessly into CI/CD pipelines, championing a shift-left testing approach to detect defects early.
Explore and incorporate AI-driven testing solutions and next-gen automation tools to optimize coverage and efficiency.
Ensure robust automation across multi-cloud environments (GCP, AWS, Azure) and diverse application stacks.
Coaching, Mentorship & Team Enablement
Coach and upskill manual QA engineers into proficient automation engineers through structured training programs, workshops, and hands-on guidance.
Foster a culture of continuous learning, technical excellence, and collaboration within the QA team.
Conduct code reviews, share best practices, and maintain high standards of automation quality.
Quality Strategy & Reporting
Define and execute a comprehensive QA strategy covering functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing for backend and frontend systems.
Deliver executive-friendly automation reports highlighting key metrics such as coverage, defect leakage, and ROI.
Drive data-informed decisions to continuously improve testing efficiency and product quality.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with engineering, DevOps, and product teams to embed quality throughout the SDLC.
Lead QA efforts during release cycles, ensuring deployment readiness, test completeness, and production stability.
Collaborate on testing strategies for cloud-native applications, containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes), and event-driven architectures.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
8+ years of experience in software QA automation with proven expertise in tools like Playwright, Postman, Selenium.
Strong hands‑on experience with Playwright using JavaScript and TypeScript .
Ability to read, debug, and enhance existing Playwright automation code.
Demonstrated experience with API testing (Postman preferred).
Strong understanding of modern automation concepts, CI/CD integration, and shift‑left practices.
Experience mentoring or leading QA engineers in automation.
Solid understanding of web technologies, RESTful services, and modern SDLC processes.
Preferred Qualifications
Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure).
Experience with AI-driven testing, serverless architectures, and message queues.
Experience with Java or .NET/C#
Knowledge of Selenium
Exposure to AI‑enhanced testing tools or performance testing (JMeter, Gatling, etc.).
Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js).

Pay Range:
$122,200.00-$187,300.00 Annual
