Position Summary
The Lead Architect – Salesforce Platform provides architectural leadership and governance for enterprise Salesforce implementations across large, complex organizations. This role serves as the technical authority for platform strategy, solution design, data, security, DevOps, and operations , ensuring scalable, secure, and compliant solutions aligned to business and technology roadmaps.
The Lead Architect responsible for platform standards, design authority, and roadmap direction while partnering with delivery, security, and operations teams to enable high‑quality, well‑governed Salesforce solutions.
Required Qualification
8+ years of Salesforce platform experience, including leadership of large‑scale enterprise implementations
Proven experience in Salesforce architecture, platform governance, and design authority
Strong knowledge of the Salesforce development lifecycle , including development, deployment, and RunOps support
Hands‑on experience with Salesforce DevOps , including:
Scratch orgs and unlocked packages
Salesforce DevOps Center
Copado and/or AutoRabit
GitHub and GitHub Actions
Snyk and Salesforce Code Analyzer
Experience in Salesforce Health Cloud and Service Cloud.
Additional experience with Agentforce and Salesforce Data Cloud (Data360) and platform data governance
Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills
Preferred Qualifications
Salesforce certifications including:
Platform Development Lifecycle and Deployment Architect
Platform Strategy Designer
OmniStudio Consultant
Salesforce Data Cloud Consultant
Agentforce Specialist
Experience defining platform roadmaps, standards, and guardrails
Background in regulated industries (e.g., healthcare, financial services, insurance)
Experience with AI‑enabled or agent‑based Salesforce capabilities
Experience with Cloud Data Architecture (GCP / AWS)
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering , or a related field from an accredited institution
Master’s degree preferred
Equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience may be considered
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$130,295.00 - $260,590.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
