Pay Range: $34.61 - $51.57 per hour

Summary:
Under the general direction of the Capital Project Manager and Lead, the Capital Project Engineer delivers on requirements for capital project computing needs. The Engineer ensures that technology is deployed on time, within budget, and to specifications. Responsibilities include reviewing equipment reports, following standards, and connecting execution with overall project design. The role involves project management as well as adhering to compliance, health, safety, and environmental standards. Collaboration with RUSH project management teams and support for D&IS Operations device lifecycle management are required.
Responsibilities:
Assist in development of pre-project documents including project charter, project management plan, project kick start, estimate and milestone schedule creation.
Collaborate with users, stakeholders, internal teams, and department managers to understand project requirements and solutions.
Perform assigned on-site inspections
Complete punch lists as assigned
Partner with teams across D&IS on the deployment of RUSH capital projects.
Execute installation of equipment according to project guidelines.
Inform desktop/laptop configuration and support, including image engineering, patching, upgrades, and software management to enable success.
Comply with the RUSH asset inventory process.
Complete relevant data collection and feedback process for projects.
Successfully deliver IT equipment setup and testing to meet go-Live standards and regulations.
Identify, track, manage, and resolve any IT related project issues.
Promote positive support and interaction with team members.
Foster strong relationships, facilitate effective communication, and address concerns to ensure project success.
Required Job Qualifications:
Associates degree, or equivalent minimum of 1-2 years IT (project) related experience, Information Systems or related technical field.
Minimum of 5 years of technology experience.
1+ years related experience work on projects/matters of complexity in a support role
Ability to Travel with reliable transportation as projects are implemented throughout the Chicago area
Expert knowledge of End User devices, including workstations, laptops, tablets, smart phones, soft phones, deskside phones, headsets, and other End User computing hardware devices.
Knowledge of industry standard end user services and technologies such as basic networking, Microsoft SCCM, Active Directory, Windows, and Microsoft Office
Preferred Job Qualifications:
Healthcare project experience with patient treatment workflow knowledge is a plus.
Epic knowledge or experience is helpful
Familiarity with Service Now software for project tracking.
