Pay Range: $63.10 - $94.02 per hour

Summary:
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Director, Inpatient Clinical Information Systems to lead the vision, implementation, and optimization of clinical technology across our health system. This role is ideal for an experienced healthcare IT leader with deep expertise in clinical information systems, Epic, and enterprise application management , who thrives at the intersection of technology, operations, and patient care.
As a key member of the Information Services leadership team, you will drive the strategy and execution of clinical applications, healthcare IT systems, and digital transformation initiatives . You’ll partner closely with clinical, operational, and executive stakeholders to deliver scalable, high-performing solutions that enhance workflows, improve patient outcomes, and support organizational growth.
This position requires a strong balance of strategic leadership and operational execution , including oversight of system implementations, application optimization, vendor management, and budget accountability. You will lead and develop high-performing teams while ensuring alignment with organizational goals, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
The ideal candidate brings a proven track record of success in healthcare IT leadership, Epic or similar EMR platforms, clinical systems implementation, and cross-functional collaboration . You are a proactive problem-solver with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization and translate complex technical concepts into meaningful business outcomes.

Responsibilities:
Drives strategy for information solutions and services and participates in development of the broader IS strategy. Responsible for area organizational design and effectiveness.
Responsible for implementing and optimizing clinical applications and related technology.
Partners with senior leadership on planning for short and long-term strategic initiatives.
Applies best practices to the development and management of clinical information systems and facilitates strategic direction to support excellence in patient care.
Proactively monitors and resolves risks and issues.
Designs and builds an effective department that meets or exceeds customer needs.
Anticipates business needs and assists business leaders with strategic planning of IT related issues.
Manages relationships with vendors as needed.
Identifies gaps/areas of opportunity and develops action plans to address areas of concern.
Communicates clearly and efficiently with leaders and stakeholders on program updates and training.
Builds relationships with customers to determine their needs and prevent issues.
Responsible for budget management for assigned area.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Job Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree computer science, information systems, health care or related fields required
Two years of people management experience required
10 years of Healthcare and/or Healthcare IT leadership experience required
Strong communication skills to technical and clinical audiences
Demonstrated influencing skills.
Demonstrated ability to creatively solve complex issues.
Command of common office tools (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite, Visio).
