Overview
Publicis Media is seeking a strategic, highly collaborative Director, Corporate Communications to serve as a central communications leader across the Publicis Media hub and its agencies. Reporting to the SVP, Communications, this role is responsible for elevating the function of communications through trusted CEO and senior-leader relationships; and driving high-impact execution across media relations, awards, speaking opportunities, and thought leadership.
This is a hub role with embedded impact designed to reduce silos, increase consistency, and scale outcomes across PM’s agencies. The Director will operate as a strategic doer: someone who can shape direction, advise senior stakeholders, and also roll up their sleeves to execute.
The role directly manages a Senior Associate, Corporate Communications, and partners closely with Publicis Media agency communications leads, Publicis Connected Media, and Groupe communications teams.
Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Narrative
Leverage Publicis Media’s narrative externally across agencies, capabilities, and leadership voices.
Ensure consistency and alignment across external storytelling, executive positioning, and priority initiatives.
Elevate communications as a strategic function through trusted relationships with CEOs and senior leaders across a highly matrixed organization.
External Communications & Reputation
Lead and complete external reputation-building initiatives, including media relations, executive positioning, awards strategy, speaking opportunities, and thought leadership.
Serve as the central owner of Publicis Media’s awards engine, scaling impact through a centralized, efficient, and outcomes-driven approach.
Partner with Groupe and Connected Media communications teams to ensure alignment, leverage scale, and avoid duplication of effort.
Support issues management and sensitive communications with discretion, sound judgment, and calm execution.
Execution & Operations
- Operate as a strategic doer balancing planning with hands-on execution to deliver high-impact results.
People Management & Development
Directly manage and develop a Senior Associate, Corporate Communications, providing clear priorities, coaching, and opportunities for growth.
Foster a low-ego, high-accountability culture that values ownership, precision, and progress.
AI & Modern Communications Practices
Leverage AI tools (including Microsoft Copilot and other platforms) to improve speed, quality, and effectiveness across drafting, editing, summarizing, and reporting.
Champion AI fluency within the communications function to scale impact and modernize how work gets done.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
8–10+ years of progressive corporate communications experience; marketing, media, advertising, or agency experience strongly preferred.
Demonstrated success working with multiple senior collaborators in a complex, matrixed organization.
Proven ability to operate with discretion, confidentiality, and diplomacy.
Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills across executive, media, and thought-leadership communications.
Strong managerial experience, with a track record of developing junior talent.
Comfort using tools such as Copilot, Hootsuite and Canva; strong operational instincts.
Clear interest and willingness to harness AI to work smarter, faster, and more effectively.
Highly organized, calm under pressure, and biased toward action and outcomes.

Compensation Range: $121,315.00 - $194,220.00 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
