Job Description
Position Summary
The Director of Corporate Security serves as a trusted advisor across the Company’s portfolio of properties, providing strategic oversight and guidance on all security-related matters. This role manages security vendor performance, ensures contract compliance, and upholds program quality standards for assigned properties. The Director monitors incident trends and works proactively with vendors and property teams to address security and safety issues. Additionally, the position drives continuous improvement of the security program through the development of new tactics, training initiatives, guidance materials, and proactive planning for both planned and unplanned events. Responsibilities
Oversee, advise, and assist with security-related operating budgets and capital projects, ensuring alignment with corporate standards and strategic objectives.
Serves as the corporate liaison for security service providers and equipment vendors, managing relationships, performance expectations, and contract compliance.
Maintain current knowledge of security industry standards, emerging technologies, and best practices to continuously enhance program effectiveness.
Evaluate on-site security programs, provide actionable feedback, and uphold high-quality program performance standards across portfolio.
Analyze and report on property incident trends, identifying patterns and potential risk exposures.
Recommend proactive actions and tactical improvements to strengthen security program performance and mitigate identified risks.
Identify, develop, and maintain security training programs, guidance documents, and new operational tactics to support property teams.
Oversee and assist in planning and coordinating security operations for special events to ensure safety and risk mitigation.
Respond to crisis situations, either remotely or on-site, to provide guidance on safety and security matters and to support recovery operations as needed.
Prepare and distribute corporate security alerts, subject to approval, to ensure timely communication of critical information to property locations as needed.
Conduct internal investigations related to criminal activity or serious violations of company policies, as needed.
Develop and maintain a working knowledge of cross-functional departments in matters relating to property security and collaborate to support integrated security efforts and overall property performance.
Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including retailer loss prevention partners and local law enforcement and fire departments, to enhance coordination and emergency preparedness.

Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in security operations, law enforcement, training and management, or related field required.
At least 2 years of experience managing contracted service providers and vendors.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to confidently lead site visits, meetings, and presentations.
Excellent written communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear, professional business correspondence, reports, and documentation.
Ability to remain composed and make sound decisions in high-pressure or emergency situations.
Ability to perform manual tasks or physical duties when necessary to support security operations.
Travel
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
Compensation
Salary type: Exempt
Pay Frequency: Bi-weekly
Annual Base Salary Range: $120,000 - $175,000
Annual Bonus: 25%
