A design firm, specializing in acoustic solutions, is looking to add a Design Coordinator/Associate Project Manager to their team!
Job Description:
The Design Coordinator/Associate Project Manager ensures effective and efficient coordination toward project goals in a dynamic and demanding environment. This role oversees all aspects of a project to ensure timely and budget-conscious completion. Responsibilities include managing expectations by coordinating and communicating project scope, cost, schedule, vendors, and the production of contractual deliverables. Additionally, the Associate Project Manager acts as a liaison between field Sales Agents and internal teams, delivering exceptional customer service from project inception to post-installation.
Key Focus Areas:
Project initiation, scheduling, and coordination
Customer, sales, and cross‑functional communication
Submittals, documentation, and order processing
Timeline management, issue resolution, and risk mitigation
Project tracking through manufacturing, shipping, and closeout
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (architecture, interior design, project management, engineering)
2+ years of experience in project coordination or management in a design or creative environment
Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Project coordination experience: analyzing data/architectural drawings, stakeholder communication
Proficiency in internal data systems and computer applications (word processing, spreadsheets, presentations)
Ability to analyze/interpret data, write concise reports/emails, and explain complex issues clearly
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chicago, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.69 - $35.58/hr.
