Robert Half Data Reporting Analyst in Chicago, Illinois
Description We are looking for a Data Reporting Analyst to join our team in Chicago, Illinois, on a contract with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent position. In this role, you will focus on developing and maintaining data reports, managing nightly database updates, and supporting a robust data warehouse environment. This position offers a remote-first work model with occasional in-office collaboration, providing flexibility in a casual work setting.
Responsibilities:
• Create, format, and manage detailed reports using tools such as Excel, SQL Server, and Python.
• Query and navigate databases efficiently to extract and analyze data for reporting purposes.
• Design and implement visual data presentations utilizing Google Sheets for web publishing.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure the accuracy of data within the internal warehouse environment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues independently, ensuring uninterrupted workflow.
• Enhance reporting processes by leveraging SSRS and Excel VBA for advanced functionality.
• Utilize SQL and Python scripting to automate repetitive tasks and improve data operations.
• Maintain a high level of data integrity and security across all reporting functions.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives for data analytics and reporting.
• Provide technical expertise in SQL Server and related database systems to optimize performance. Requirements • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in data reporting and analysis.
• Proficiency in SQL Server and SSRS for querying and reporting.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, including VBA for advanced functions.
• Experience with Python scripting for data manipulation and automation.
• Familiarity with Google Sheets for creating and publishing visual data.
• Solid understanding of database navigation and data extraction techniques.
• Ability to work independently and solve complex problems effectively.
