Compensation and Schedule for the Charge Description Master Analyst
Charge Description Master Analyst – Full-time, work-from-home, $29-$35 per hour, Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. Join a growing team!
Required Qualifications of the Charge Description Master Analyst
3+ years of recent CDM-related billing, coding, revenue cycle, or compliance experience required
Valid coding certification (CPC, CCS, CPC-H, or CIC) certification preferred
Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, finance, business administration, or a related field preferred
High school diploma or GED required
Must successfully pass a criminal background check and drug screen
Responsibilities of the Charge Description Master Analyst
Maintain the corporate and/or local standard CDM in compliance with regulatory agencies and applicable policies and promote its accuracy and integrity across departments of the organization
Make CDM-related decisions that require significant analysis and investigation with solutions requiring significant original thinking
Respond to inquiries and requests professionally and timely
Analyze CDM/revenue cycle questions and issues to resolution
Create and effectively deliver CDM-related educational materials
Identify opportunities for CDM improvement by communicating trends identified from CDM audits or use of CDM tools to identify CDM issues and revenue capture opportunities
Maintain and enhance CDM activities via the integrated Revenue Cycle Applications to assure that charges are consistent with regulatory and billing guidance
Review changes in CPT codes, HCPCS codes, and revenue codes for accuracy and compliance with all applicable policies published by Federal, State and Commercial Insurance payers
Collaborate in the development of programs, initiatives, and workflows, which provide alignment with education for internal customers related to CDM guidelines
Ensure staff members are knowledgeable about CDM issues identified through audits, reviews, and aggregate data analysis and serve as a resource to implementation project team members
Ensure best practices are adhered to and recommend changes as necessary
Alert System Revenue Integrity leadership to any issues or potential issues of performance from business partners
