Crate & Barrel Building & Product Operations Manager in Chicago, Illinois
Manage and support the overall operation of building services, including maintenance, security, equipment and administrative support. Partners with merchandising and sourcing teams to ensure product availability and appropriate usage. Manages preparing for all visual projects/milestone meetings requiring Merchandise Management and Logistics support. Manages established processes and creatively adjusts plans as needed to ensure all cross functional partners are meeting deadlines for all merchandise and/or deliveries.
A day in the life as a Building & Product Operations Manager, CB2...
Plan the merchandise, logistics and product flow for all CB2 HQ and Mock Store visual set ups.
Manage the physical movement of product to set up for projects and presentations within the corporate office by partnering with the merchant team, sourcing team, visual team and stock coordinators.
Primary decision maker to execute product and logistics processes between cross functional partners as well as internal and external customers.
Own the execution of all product and logistical deliverables including planning, communication and managing stakeholder contributions, from confirming scheduling is achievable, merchandise is available and accurate, and ensuring ability to deliver based on timeline and logistical challenges.
Establish appropriate process needed to accommodate creative and operational objectives for each unique project.
Ensure all inventory is allocated to each project well in advance and support all communications surrounding that.
Support CB2 Corporate building and Corporate Facilities projects, as needed.
Maintain a performance on good quality of general building maintenance and upkeep as needed.
Support team meeting planning, associate engagement event planning.
Manage stock coordinator team including scheduling, workflow planning, performance appraisals.
Possess a complete understanding of applicable company systems, policies and procedures.
Partner with merchandising on sample process improvements, efficiency gains and sample room layout
Maintain an awareness of all loss prevention, security and safety following the guidelines provided by management or the Human Resources Department and/or as outlined in the Crate and Barrel/CB2 Associate Guide.

High School Diploma or GED Equivalent; Associate’s Degree preferred
At least 5 years related facilities maintenance experience
Experience with general office equipment, including computer and printer, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), company email system, multi-line telephone, copier/scanner, fax machine, calculator
Movement of product, supplies and/or boxes to and from all levels of the store and stockroom
Ability to move and/or lift up to 65 lbs to a height of 3-4 feet, heavier product with team assist. Furniture: Ability to move up to 300 lbs with appropriate equipment
