Our client, a leading healthcare and facilities management organization, is seeking a Building Automation Systems (BAS) Engineer (Siemens) to join their team. As a Building Automation Systems (BAS) Engineer (Siemens) , you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting the Building Operations team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Building Automation Systems (BAS) Engineer (Siemens)
Location: Chicago, IL
Pay: $40-$43/hr.
What's the Job?
Program and optimize Siemens and Automated Logic Building Automation Systems (BAS) hardware and software for optimal building performance
Collaborate with the energy team to identify and implement energy conservation measures (ECMs)
Modify control programs and tune PID loops to enhance system control and efficiency
Conduct retro-commissioning activities to ensure hardware and software operate at peak performance
Perform regular system and panel database backups, maintaining data integrity and security
What's Needed?
At least 5 years of experience installing and servicing HVAC and Building Automation Controls
Proficiency with Siemens Insight 3.14 or similar BAS platforms
Expert knowledge of open protocols including BACnet, MSTP, Modbus, and TCP/IP
Strong understanding of networking, engineering concepts, programming, and HVAC mechanical systems
Physical ability to work in various environments such as ladders, roofs, basements, and above ceilings, with the capacity to lift up to 75 pounds unassisted
