Job Summary

Job Title: Catering Manager – Art Institute of Chicago

Job Summary:

Working as a Catering Manager, you are responsible for planning and overseeing event operations for internal and external events throughout the museum. You will manage and lead a team of associates for event execution. You will be responsible for managing client relations, along with ensuring that the food and beverage offered to our guest is representative of this iconic setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for operation of event execution within an approved budget while providing the Client with the maximum value for the dollars spent

• Ensures that the food offered to the client, customers, and employees of the operation is of superior quality

• Maintains excellent relationships with employees, guests and Client as well as other departments within the operation

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum of Associate's Degree preferred

• Two to four years event management experience is required

• Comprehensive food and wine knowledge.

• Excellent communication and computer skills are needed, including knowledge of MS Office products

• ServSafe Certified required
