Summary
The Assistant Director leads an AV warehouse team and is responsible for all operations of a warehouse. This role serves as the driving force for innovation, operational excellence, and sound fiscal decision making to maximize profits. The position requires strong people leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
This position will support our Audio Visual and Event Technology team. The position follows an in-person schedule working full-time in-office and/or show-site based out of McCook, IL.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Directly supervise all full time, part time, and contingent warehouse staff, including management of scheduling, payroll, performance appraisals, safety policies, expense reports, customer service, and operational policies
Drive financial performance and maintain fiscal responsibility for the assigned warehouse operation
Manage readiness of assigned areas and facilities to ensure business readiness and operational efficiency
Drive simplification of practices and offerings in pursuit of efficiency
Collaborate with Growth and Event Technology Operations to ensure delivery alignment with go to market strategies
Form, vet, and accelerate innovations in warehousing tools, practices, and execution
Partner with cross divisional teams to support recruiting, training and development, and staffing of warehouse personnel
Manage and enforce safety and risk policies and procedures across all areas of operation
Drive operational excellence through oversight and reporting of KPIs, regular quality audits, and other performance measures
Serve as a key stakeholder in partnership with inventory control, technology experts, purchasing, and divisional leaders on capital expenditure planning
Manage vendor relationships and coordination for facility maintenance and management
Drive teamwork and communication across all warehouse operations
Assist other department leaders as needed
Perform additional duties as assigned
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree preferred, High School Diploma or Equivalent with relevant work experience required
Preferred 5 to 10 years of related experience in event production and or warehouse management
Travel Requirements
Travel up to 25%

Salary range $75,000-92,000 based upon experience
Eligible for an annual bonus of up to 12.5% of the base salary
