Account Executive -- FEP Specialist

As an Account Executive -- FEP Specialist, you'll be accountable for generating renewal sales in the small group market (under 50),  life, and ancillary product lines; Engage Federal and Postal Agencies and employees to maintain and grow membership in the Federal Employee Program (FEP); Maintaining high persistency rates and provide top-notch service; Providing timely and professional service to enrolled group; Non-group and ancillary sales; and Suggesting insights to management on customer needs, competitive activity, and market conditions.

 

As part of our BCBSWY team, you will collaborate closely with our sales team and with FEP Field Services to achieve retention and sales goals.  You will work with employers and agencies to support employee engagement and provide service to their staff.  Additionally, you will work with various departments to ensure seamless delivery of products and services, enhancing the overall customer experience.

 

To be successful in this role, you will need strong verbal and written communication skills; Effective retention techniques and a thorough knowledge of our products and competitors; Ability to conduct outside renewal sales and provide continued service via telephone and on-site visits; Ability to effectively conduct sales and educational presentations; Proficiency in using consumer relationship management systems; Understanding of FEP and small group contracts, including benefit administration and legal requirements.

 

Minimum qualifications include: Bachelor's Degree (typically in Marketing or Sales) or commensurate experience; Current license to sell health insurance in Wyoming (or ability to obtain within 90 days); Valid driver's license; Three months or more of work experience, typically in customer relations.

 

Considerations for this position include moderate to high stress with defined performance goals; Automobile and overnight travel required; Public speaking, driving, writing, typing, and use of a calculator.
