Requirements:
Job requires extensive sitting, pushing, pulling, lifting (50 lbs), climbing, stooping, driving (equipment), shoveling, and other repetitive movements. Must have a regular driver's license, a high school diploma or the equivalent, i.e., GED and three months of experience.
Job description:
We are a family owned and operated farm. Our farming operation farms over 35,000 acres of our wheat, corn, and milo. We need seasonal workers to help us through our busy season, to perform spraying, planting, harvesting, hauling, bagging, and mowing operations. Workers are needed that can operate sprayers, tractors, planters, combines, grain carts, augers, baggers, farm-trailer trucks, mowers, pickup trucks, and other farm implements including plows, vertical tills, sweeps and the like. Workers will also need the aptitude, skills, physical ability, appropriate clothing, and respect for and adherence to the safety protocols associated with farming, including loading, unloading, performing basic in-field maintenance/service, cleaning, and fueling the previously listed equipment. Regarding clothing, it is expected that workers will wear sturdy, long pants like jeans and sturdy work boots or shoes; no sandals, open toe shoes or bare feet will be allowed. No commercial truck driving is required.
Anticipated hours of work per week: 60 hours per week.
Schedule: Mon to Sat 10 hours a day.
8:00 A.M. - 6:00 P.M.
