Gardenology Landscape Construction Foreman in Chevy Chase, Maryland

Minimum 2 years of construction experience.
Minimum 2 years of landscape experience.
Minimum 2 years of customer service experience.

Able to work in and appreciate very hot days, very cold days, rainy days, beautiful days, etc.
Must be 18 and legally able to work in the United States.
Valid driver's license, clean driving history, and pass a pre-employment drug test as requested.
Physical strength, dexterity, and capabilities.
Job Duties
Landscape Installation:
Landscape Construction: Construction, installation, and repair of: Pergolas, decks, arches, hardscapes, flagstones, pavers, water features, raised or in-ground garden beds, fence enclosures, fence posts, gates, basic irrigation systems, edging, trellises, and other garden dcor, and more.
Power Tools:
Competent and safe use of, but not limited to: table saw, radial arm saw, pneumatic tools, grinder, dremel, planer, and other tools as necessary.
Design and Site Prep:
Reading and interpreting designs to meet specifications. Provide feedback and input on the design process as needed. Taking measurements, staking, stringing, and flagging sites in prep for installation.
Landscape Installation:
Support of the installation and maintenance of landscapes, including removal of plant material, dirt, debris, etc. and installation, transplanting of plants, roots, and more. Pruning, fruit tree and plant care.
Garden Handyperson Services:
Repair and enhance existing garden fences, gates, irrigation, raised beds, pathways, landscapes, and more.
Physical Strength and Dexterity:
Hauling of garden soil, compost, gravel, and fill dirt, garden boxes, and other heavy items as needed, and have mobility to work on hands and knees or overhead when standing on the ground.
Leadership Abilities
Performance/Production:
Teach crew members procedures and production techniques.
Do job layout with minimal assistance.
Demonstrate ability to run most-sized projects with little assistance.
Provide input to help improve estimating and production.
Ability to multitask.
Physical Performance and Skills:
Instruct others in handling, moving, and installing construction and other materials..
Perform skill-oriented tasks while directing others.
Organize construction-related tasks on jobs from start to finish; delegate duties to assistants.
Track all material quantities. Communicate and report daily progress through phone-based apps.
Human Relations:
Maintain a positive attitude and outlook toward the work performed.
Work with sales personnel and designers to achieve the best possible results.
Project team atmosphere on the crew.
Serve as the main contact with clients on a daily basis.
Equipment and Company Property:
Maintain a clean driving record of six points or less and, as needed, provide your own tr nsportation - though company vehicles will be primarily used. For the use of your own vehicle, we will provide a transportation reimbursement.
Demonstrate ability to drive trucks, including all trailers and equipment. Be responsible for the truck and/or trailer.
Train coworkers about proper equipment usage as needed.
Quality:
Instruct others in techniques to improve quality.
Demonstrate an ability to maintain quality while increasing efficiency.
Be responsible for final quality on jobs.
Safety:
Report and/or correct dangerous situations.
Report accidents.
Demonstrate the safe operation of tools and equipment.
Use required safety equipment.

$23-$29/hr

Monday-Friday work schedule, with time-and-a-half overtime pay after 40 hours.
6 Paid Holidays: New Year's, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
1 week paid vacation after one year of full-time employment.
