Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is hiring for a notable global agricultural life sciences organization known for its innovation in plant research and crop protection.
Pay : Up to 23.5/hr depending on education and relevant experience level
Plant Research Laboratory Technician
Work Environment: Laboratory and controlled growth chamber settings
Position Overview
This role supports plant research activities in both clean laboratory and growth chamber environments. The technician will work with plants, soil, and plant pathogens to assist with experimental setup, plant care, and disease assessment. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced research setting and demonstrates strong attention to detail, reliability, and flexibility.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare testing supplies and research materials
Culture inoculum (fungal culturing experience preferred but not required)
Perform planting, plant maintenance, and general plant care
Conduct plant inoculation and disease assessments
Maintain sterile technique when required
Perform routine cleaning of laboratories, growth chambers, and washing stations
Support research activities under the direction of a supervisor or manager
Work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
Qualifications
Experience with sterile technique and/or fungal culturing preferred but not required
Background in plant care, plant pathology, or nematology is a plus
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Self-motivated with the ability to manage tasks independently
Reliable and adaptable in varying work conditions
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
Work performed in laboratory and growth chamber environments with varying temperatures
May work in dusty, warm, or strictly controlled clean environments
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs independently (e.g., moving sand trays)
No driving required
No hazardous chemicals used (bleach utilized for routine cleaning)
PPE provided: safety glasses and gloves

Pay Details: $20.00 to $23.50 per hour
