Requirements Special skills and abilities required: Must be able to work independently and efficiently while handling multiple tasks. Strong organizational skills are required to multi-task effectively and efficiently. A high level of interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, sit, bend and lift. Ability to talk and listen when communicating with residents, family members, and internal and external business contacts. The employee is occasionally required to climb stairs or balance when assisting others with residents; stoop or crouch to communicate with residents and to place items in or get items from low drawers or shelves; pump a foot pedal to raise or lower a clients bed; and use his/her sense of smell to detect odors within the home and emanating from the resident. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds when moving clients by wheelchair. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, as well as the completion of state mandated annual training requirements.
