Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Overview
We are seeking a detail?oriented Laboratory Technician to support color technology and laboratory operations. This role is open to candidates with varied chemistry?related laboratory experience, including academic, industrial, quality control (QC), R&D, or formulation labs.
Candidates with backgrounds in coatings, inks, pigments, additives, materials, or other chemical laboratory environments are strongly encouraged to apply. This is an excellent opportunity for recent chemistry graduates or lab professionals looking to grow their skills in color science within a hands?on laboratory setting.
Responsibilities
Utilize color?matching software to generate accurate color matches
Prepare, measure, and document liquid products and color samples with precision Follow technical instructions and test requirements to ensure consistent results
Work independently while collaborating effectively with team members
Maintain cleanliness and organization of laboratory equipment and workspace
Adhere strictly to laboratory safety guidelines and procedures
Monitor and maintain laboratory supplies and inventory
Develop skills and knowledge related to color science, coatings, and formulated products
Requirements
High School Diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related science field preferred
Color shading experience preferred
Experience with spectrophotometers and color?matching software is a plus
1–2 years of laboratory experience preferred (internships or academic lab experience accepted)
Strong attention to detail; color acuity is a plus
Ability to understand and follow written instructions, test methods, and SDS documentation
Strong communication and organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Presentation and Microsoft PowerPoint skills a plus
