Job Title: Structural Welder
We are seeking a skilled Structural Welder to support dry‑dock projects by fabricating and assembling metal structures with precision and craftsmanship. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in high‑quality welding work and thrives in a fast‑paced, safety‑focused environment.
Responsibilities
Perform structural welding on dry‑dock components
Fabricate and assemble metal structures per engineering drawings
Operate forklifts to move materials and equipment
Use mechanical skills for rigging, layout, and plasma cutting
Follow all safety codes, standards, and regulations
Inspect finished work for accuracy and quality
Qualifications
Experience with Flux Core, Stick, Pipe , and construction‑based welding
Proficiency in Stick/Flux Core structural welding
MIG welding required , with additional experience in MIG, TIG, and Stick
Prior fabrication or welding experience

Schedule & Work Environment
Mon–Fri: 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Saturdays: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (mandatory)
Hands‑on, physical work environment with strict safety standards
Includes a 30‑minute lunch break
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chesapeake, VA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $32.00/hr.
