Job Title: Skilled Laborer
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled laborer with experience in an industrial environment or shipyard to operate forklifts and assist in general labor tasks. The primary responsibility is to operate a forklift to move finished concrete pipes from the production line to the inventory yard and to load trucks for customer delivery. During the training or contract period, the role includes assisting production crews with cleaning forms.
Responsibilities
Operate forklifts to move finished concrete pipes.
Load trucks with finished pipes for customer delivery.
Assist production crews with cleaning forms during training or contract period.
Ensure timely movement of products/materials weighing up to 12 tons.
Lift up to 50 lbs as part of general labor tasks.
Essential Skills
Forklift operation experience, preferably 3-5 years with a 22-36k forklift.
Forklift certification.
Experience in an industrial or shipyard environment.
Ability to move heavy products/materials efficiently.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with a 4-prong lift is ideal but training can be provided.
Strong work history and demonstrated skills in general labor.

Work Environment
The work environment is a non-climate-controlled facility where you will work both inside and outside. The primary product is cement-based, so expect a dusty and dirty setting. The industrial environment requires adaptability to varying conditions.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chesapeake, VA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
