Dollar Tree Senior Lease Administrator in Chesapeake, Virginia
About Your Role:
As part of Legal/Real Estate, support Dollar Tree existing and growing portfolio of stores and Real Estate Portfolio Management Team.
Some of your responsibilities will include the following:
Assist with reviewing abstracts and interpreting critical lease documentation, including lease amendments, renewals and extensions, tenant estoppels, SNDAs, and ancillary real estate agreements.
Providing accurate interpretation and management of lease documentation, including initial and ongoing lease abstracting and store opening information necessary for the timely / accurate payment of rent and other financial obligations.
Performing timely research, running / building reports.
Support Lease Administration and Portfolio by ensuring tasks are completed and reviewed for store openings and lease renewals.
Consult with Real Estate Portfolio Managers to ensure final decisions are accurately reflected and processed in our lease management system.
Abstract leases and lease related documentation.
Review Abstractions.
Enter required critical information into the Company’s lease management and financial reporting system.
Research and interpret lease documentation as requested.
Assist with training.
Build and run reports to assist in mining data within our lease management system.
Other projects as assigned.
Required Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS/BFA) or two years of relevant experience.
Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
Experience with lease administration, preferably commercial lease administration.
Independent, detail-oriented self-starter.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to draft and edit legal documents using proper grammar and punctuation.
Strong time management skills.
Ability to adapt and respond to changing conditions with a sense of urgency.
Ability to research and resolve lease related issues with a minimum of supervision.
Able to work under pressure while maintaining professionalism and diplomacy.
