Description
Key Responsibilities
Partner with the Project Superintendent to coordinate all phases of construction projects
Lead project startup activities, including document setup, scheduling, and subcontractor onboarding
Maintain and manage all contract documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Develop and manage project schedules in collaboration with field teams and subcontractors
Oversee project budgets, cost tracking, and financial performance
Issue and manage subcontracts and ensure alignment with project scope and timelines
Prepare and maintain submittal logs and oversee the submittal process
Coordinate and participate in subcontractor preconstruction and coordination meetings
Manage RFIs, change orders, and other project documentation workflows
Review and process subcontractor requests, proposals, and change documentation
Prepare owner pay applications and track billing progress
Maintain all project logs (RFIs, submittals, change orders, document control) within project management systems
Support implementation of quality control and safety procedures in partnership with field leadership
Assist with issue resolution and escalate as needed to senior leadership
Oversee project closeout, including documentation and final deliverables
Core Competencies
Strong leadership and team coordination skills across field and office personnel
Effective communication with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders
Proven problem-solving and decision-making capabilities in fast-paced environments
Solid understanding of construction scheduling, budgeting, and cost control
Knowledge of contract administration and risk management practices
Commitment to quality, safety, and compliance standards
Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing project conditions
Requirements
Required:
8–10+ years of construction experience in roles such as Project Manager, Superintendent, Project Engineer, or similar within a general contractor environment
Experience managing commercial, industrial, or government construction projects
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction scheduling tools (e.g., Microsoft Project)
Strong organizational and documentation management skills
Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree or technical training in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
Experience with federal or government projects (e.g., NAVFAC, USACE)
Background in field operations (Superintendent, QC, Safety, etc.)
Experience with ground-up construction projects
Certifications such as PMP, OSHA 30, CPR/First Aid, or Construction Quality Management
Experience with Primavera P6 or similar scheduling platforms
