Benefits Support Specialist
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 6:00pm EST
Location: Onsite-Chesapeake, VA
Training: 4 weeks of classroom training provided
Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour- please note this rate may be below your state’s minimum wage. Consider this when applying.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Benefits Support Specialists to support retirees and current employees with pension plan inquiries. This role combines phone-based administrative support and customer service, assisting members by navigating multiple systems to provide accurate benefits information.
Key Responsibilities:
Answer calls from retirees and employees regarding pension and retirement benefits.
Research and resolve inquiries using multiple systems and screens simultaneously.
Accurately document member interactions and update records.
Provide professional customer service in a call center environment.
Support new business implementation and administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
Call center or customer service experience preferred.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Basic typing and computer skills.
Ability to multitask and navigate multiple systems.
Must have a GED or High School Diploma
Ability to pass a criminal background check

In addition to base pay, this position, based on business need, may be eligible for a bonus or incentive. The estimated hourly rate for this role is $17.00.
