Sr. R&D Hardware Engineer – Steam Products Engineering (Electronic Engineer)
BASIC FUNCTION
Bath Appliances Electronic design and development.
Main Business
Development management plan establishment work
Research and Development about new products and technologies
Feasibility test of new product/ technology
Introduction of new form factor models
R&D quality management
Cost reduction activity related work
Global/local certification acquirement & management
Statistical skills are preferred (e.g. 6 sigma)
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Software, Mechanical, ID, marketing)
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Bath appliances electronic hardware development management plan establishment work
R&D of new models
Analysis of material cost and investment cost and evaluate ROI (Return on Investment).
Check progress of development progress and adherence.
Fill in and proceed with the approval of BOM / Parts.
Benchmark competition (Technology and Product).
Design new Hardware (PCB) and sample production
Performance evaluation of new hardware parts.
Certification responsibilities of new products such as UL, CQC, CE, FCC, etc.
R&D quality related work
Review of causes of market quality and establishment of measures.
Check the improvement progress and schedule.
Cost reduction related work
Draw out cost reduction ideas and establish execution plans.
Establishing cost reduction targets, checking and applying cost reduction progress.
REPORT, RELATIONSHIPS AND CONTACTS
Report to R&D SG Group Leader.
Frequently contact with Quality team, ID, Marketing Team, etc.
External contacts: agencies, vendors and developers
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Electronic engineering and related majors.
With a minimum of 10+ yrs., solid experience (Artwork : PADS) in R&D.
With knowledge and solid experience in hardware design (development and technology).
Excellent communication skills to work with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.
A team player with good organizational skills.
Business English communication is highly preferred.
Hardware design experience with related to Bath appliances is preferred.
R&D experience with related home appliances is preferred.
