The Continuous Improvement (CI) Consultant is a key member of the leveraged CI team within the Qnity Electronics Operational Excellence (OpEx) and Transformation organization.
This role supports enterprise-wide process excellence by applying standard methodologies, tools, and training across Global Integrated Operations and selected commercial and corporate initiatives.
The OpEx and Transformation team leads the design and implementation of integrated operations processes, business improvements, and enterprise standards, including the Future Electronics Operational Excellence framework. The team also provides leadership for a wide range of complex programs and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operational Excellence Deployment
Implement and coach the OpEx framework across South Korea manufacturing plants and joint ventures.
Provide Lean/Kaizen and Operational Excellence coaching, including Kaizen event facilitation and value‑focused team guidance.
Apply Lean/Six Sigma methodologies and OpEx tools to identify, develop, implement, and sustain improvements.
2. Project & Program Leadership
Lead cross‑functional projects or workstreams that improve performance, operational efficiency, productivity, and margin results.
Manage project planning, team collaboration, issue tracking, decision-making, communication, and milestone delivery.
Draft project charters outlining benefits, scope, resources, timelines, and deliverables.
Guide stakeholders to ensure alignment, problem resolution, and timely achievement of milestones.
3. Supply Chain & Integrated Operations Improvement
Support the design and optimization of end‑to‑end Supply Chain processes, structures, and ERP system configurations.
Partner with SMEs, IT, and Data teams to coordinate implementation of improvement initiatives.
Facilitate development of multi-year strategies for complex initiatives, including Integrated Business Processes, new site openings, product introductions, and portfolio planning.
Lead or support efforts to standardize Supply Chain and Operational processes, integrating them with business systems.
4. Analysis, Problem Solving & Decision Support
Conduct data-driven reviews to identify trends, performance gaps, and improvement opportunities.
Solve complex technical, operational, or process challenges, often in ambiguous or unstructured settings.
Perform capability assessments of Supply Chains, functions, and Operations across people, processes, and tools.
Make informed, experience‑based decisions with a strong bias for action.
5. Continuous Learning & Knowledge Expansion
Proactively build expertise through targeted learning and networking.
Apply new insights and knowledge to improve project results, strengthen operational capabilities, and support organizational objectives.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related technical field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Fluency in Korean and English.
Lean and/or Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt training; strong VSM facilitation skills.
Demonstrated multi‑year project/program management experience with a track record of delivering on-time, high‑quality results.
Preferred
Experience with Supply Chain ERP systems (SAP, BW).
APICS CPIM certification.
