Ford Motor Company Technical Project Manager in Chennai, India
We are seeking a highly strategic and motivated Technical project Manager to join our team. The focus is on driving large-scale cyber security objectives, cloud transitions, and platform modernization efforts across a global financial portfolio. The ideal candidate will be a technical project manager with a strong foundation in program management, capable of overseeing diverse workstreams including Cloud, Security, AI/ML security initiatives, and the modernization program. The goal is to ensure complex technical projects, specifically those involving Cloud and AI/ML security are delivered on time and translate into measurable improvements for the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Must have:
Program & Portfolio Leadership: Plan, Lead, coordinate and manage multiple application and engineering portfolios, ensuring alignment with stakeholder and the organization’s strategic goals, including Cloud-native, Cyber security and AI-driven modernization.
Master JIRA & Confluence Administration: Act as the primary administrator for the team’s tracking tools. Maintain data integrity, manage user workflows, and build customized dashboards that provide executive-level visibility into project status.
Facilitate Stakeholder Collaboration: Serve as the central point of contact between IT, Security, Legal, and Business teams. Break down technical silos and ensure global teams are aligned on project scope and deliverables.
Deliver KPI & Metrics Reporting: Define and analyse Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to track program health. Provide clear, data-driven reports in response to leadership requests to show the real-world impact of initiatives.
Drive Initiative Planning & Tracking : Own the end-to-end lifecycle of Programs. Develop comprehensive roadmaps, manage timelines, and coordinate resource allocation to move projects from inception to completion and provide executive level status reporting.
Lead Modernization & Cloud Efforts: Oversee the strategy for transitioning legacy systems to secure, Cloud-native, and AI-enabled modernization initiatives. Ensure these modernization projects stay on track without interrupting business operations.
Good to have:
Vendor onboarding, Funding & Budget Management: Manage the vendor team onboarding, financial health of the portfolio, including funding requests, budget tracking, and resource optimization to ensure project sustainability.
Risk & Compliance Governance: Coordinate risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies. Ensure all programs adhere to global frameworks such as DORA, GDPR, GLBA, and FFIEC.
Continuous Improvement: Facilitate executive business operational Control review meetings and implement process enhancements to improve project efficiency and operational outcomes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or a related field.
10+ years of experience in program & portfolio management, with at least 3+ years specifically in a digital transformation, cyber security project's role within a regulated financial environment.
Expertise in Project Management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid) with a focus on strategic execution.
Proven ability to manage multiple high-stakes projects simultaneously in a technical and compliance-driven environment.
Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all organizational levels.
Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001) and global financial regulations (DORA, GLBA, FFIEC).
Preferred Skills:
Project Management Excellence: PMP, PRINCE2, or similar certification is highly preferred.
Tools Mastery: Advanced hands-on collaboration tool experience with Miro, SharePoint, Power BI/Looker dashboards, MS teams groups, MS office tools, JIRA and Confluence for portfolio tracking, reporting, and dashboard creation.
Analytical Thinking: Strong ability to translate complex technical data into actionable status reports and KPI dashboards.
Technical Literacy: A solid understanding of cloud computing, digital transformation, Cyber security and the security challenges associated with AI/ML.
Security Insight: CISSP, CISM, or CISA certification is a plus.
