As a Contract Logistics Specialist at Kuehne+Nagel, you will manage end-to-end warehousing operations for our customers. By doing so with precision, you not only contribute to the success of your team, but also to the day-to-day operations and success in the warehouse and distribution centres. For example, storing and delivering delicate flowers and fresh ingredients to local stores for everyday lunches and family celebrations. You will be part of our Contract Logistics team, adding your project management expertise + skills to the delivery of customer on-boarding.
How you create impact
Your primary objective will be to set-up, execute, manage + coordinate customer + internal implementations on behalf of the Project Sponsor, using our customer on-boarding methodology + Zero Failure processes. You will do this by working with a variety of internal + external stakeholders while focusing on the following key objectives.
To support the assigned project team as well as supporting, coaching + challenging project team members + providing guidance on projects, career + development
To ensure that assigned projects are implemented on time, within budget + with the right quality, ensuring that all relevant methodologies + the Zero Failure processes are followed at all times
To manage the scope (+ scope changes), project progress, project budget + risks within the assigned projects + between different countries, plus maintaining all project documentation
To provide internal + external (customer) status reporting on time
What we would like you to bring
Minimum 5–15 years of experience in project management roles within contract logistics, supply chain, and warehousing environments
Proven experience in customer onboarding, implementation, or transition management within logistics environments
Strong understanding of warehouse operations, distribution, and end-to-end supply chain processes
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple onboarding/implementation projects simultaneously across different locations
Solid stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and influence both internal and external partners
Strong project management skills (planning, execution, risk management, and reporting
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Willingness to travel within the assigned area/region as required
