Job Description:

Job Purpose

The Hub Supervisor is responsible for supervising daily air hub and sort operations to ensure safe, secure, compliant, and efficient processing of shipments. This role leads frontline teams to consistently meet service commitments to customers, while maintaining a safety-first mindset and full compliance with aviation safety, security, and regulatory standards. The incumbent will also drive operational excellence through analytics, cost optimization, innovation, and digitalization initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Hub & Sort Operations Management

  • Supervise day-to-day air hub and sort activities to ensure on-time performance, accuracy, and productivity.

  • Plan and allocate manpower, equipment, and resources effectively to meet operational demand and service level agreements (SLAs).

  • Monitor operational flow and resolve disruptions to minimize service impact and delays.

  • Ensure proper handling of shipments in accordance with company standards and customer requirements (SOPs).

Leadership & People Management

  • Lead, coach, and motivate hub and sort teams to achieve high performance, productivity, and engagement.

  • Foster a strong safety-first and customer-centric culture within the team.

  • Actively manages people’s performance and development by identifying, building, and retaining talent within the team, including succession planning for key operational roles.

  • Develop team capabilities through structured coaching, mentoring, cross-skilling, and training to support current operations and future business needs.

  • Support training, qualification, and competency development for operational staff.

Safety, Security & Compliance

  • Ensure all operations are performed in full compliance with aviation safety, security, and regulatory requirements.

  • Enforce adherence to safety procedures, risk assessments, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

  • Lead and support internal and external audits, including AIE, QAP, ASCR, and other relevant compliance programs.

Operational Excellence & Analytics

  • Apply an analytical mindset to evaluate operational performance, costs, and productivity.

  • Conduct cost analysis, root cause analysis, and develop business cases to drive business growth, cost optimization, and production efficiency.

  • Track and analyze KPIs such as service performance, safety, cost, and productivity, and translate insights into actionable improvements.

Innovation & Digitalization

  • Drive continuous improvement by challenging the status quo and proposing innovative operational solutions.

  • Leverage Microsoft 365 tools, including Copilot, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams, to streamline workflows and improve collaboration.

  • Utilize Power BI to develop dashboards, visualizations, and insights to support operational decision-making.

  • Actively contributes to operations digitalization initiatives, automation, and data-driven process optimization.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Logistics, Aviation Management, or a related discipline (preferred).

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in hub operations, air cargo, logistics, or a fast-paced operational environment, with supervisory responsibility.

  • Ability to work in a shift‑rostered environment, including weekends, and public holidays, in alignment with air hub operational requirements.

  • Willingness to provide hands‑on leadership during peak periods, disruptions, and critical operational windows.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong leadership and people management capabilities.

  • Safety-first mindset with high attention to detail and compliance.

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in cost analysis and business case development.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365, including Copilot, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint.

  • Hands-on experience with Power BI for reporting, performance tracking, and analytics.

  • Innovative mindset with the ability to challenge existing processes and implement improvements.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally in a time-critical environment.
