Four Seasons Forestry Services, Inc., Chehalis, WA, needs 24 temporary (05/01/26 -- 10/31/26) and full-time forest and conservation workers to work at various jobsites in the following Washington counties: Grays Harbor, Jefferson, Clallam, Mason, Thurston, Pierce, King, Snohomish, Skagit, Whatcom, Ferry, Stevens, Lincoln, Lewis, Pacific, Wahkiakum, Klickitat, Cowlitz, Clark, Skamania, and Yamika; and in the following Oregon counties: Marion, Yamhill, Clackamas, Columbia, Tillamook, Washington, Multnomah and Clatsop. Perform tree planting duties: work on a steep terrain with a 20%-60% slope while commercially planting trees by hand. Clear a place for planting directly on the ground by hand. Dig a hole in the ground using a shovel. Place a seedling tree in the hole and cover the roots with soil. Will carry a bag of seedlings weighing 50-60lbs in steep and remote mountainous areas while performing this repetitive work daily. Perform tree thinning duties: cut undesirable and diseased trees down during the thinning period. Spray vegetation to eliminate unwanted underbrush. Perform brush cutting/piling and limb thinning duties in order to promote growth. Pile up brush and tree limbs for later disposal. This work will be performed with a chainsaw on steep 20%-60% slope terrain. Must have 3 months experience in commercial forestry work. No educational requirements. Must be able to plant the following number of trees in a 7-hour day: by the end of the 1st week - 800, by the end of the 2nd week - 900, by the end of the 3rd week - 1000 trees. OJT provided. The wage range is: $19.83p/h -$23.92p/h. The rate of pay will be determined by the county in which the work is actually performed. Overtime pay at time and a half will be paid for any hours worked above 40 per week. General schedule of 35h/w, 7am-4pm, Mon-Fri. Overtime hours, including weekend work, may be available but is not guaranteed. Applicants may be offered higher than the advertised wage rate due to experience or merit. The employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due. Workers will be paid on a bi-weekly basis. The employer will make all deductions from workers' paychecks that are required by law. No deductions not required by law will be made. If relocating for the position, the cost of transportation and subsistence to the place of employment will be reimbursed, if half of the employment period is completed. This reimbursement will be calculated by the exact cost of the transportation expenses by airplane or bus fare, as well as subsistence expenses calculated at the minimum amount of $16.28 per 24-hour period of travel and the maximum amount of $68.00 per day. Return transportation and subsistence will be provided if the employment period is completed, or if dismissed early. The employer will provide daily transportation to and from the jobsite. When required by travel distances, optional hotel accommodations are provided by Four Seasons Forestry Services, Inc. at no cost to the worker. The employer will reimburse the H-2B worker in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees that are to the benefit of the employer. All tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job will be provided to workers at no charge. The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period.
