We are seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician to anchor our 2nd shift operations. This isn't just a "behind the scenes" repair role; you will be the face of the maintenance team during the evening hours in a high-profile commercial office environment.

The ideal candidate brings a strong electrical background—think advanced apprentice level—and a "white-glove" approach to customer service. Since you may be the senior technician on duty, we are looking for a decisive problem-solver who takes pride in maintaining a seamless environment for our client.

Job Description

Second Shift | Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM–10:30 PM

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance of critical building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC/pneumatic controls, and hydraulic devices.

  • Utilize your experience to diagnose electrical issues, perform minor installs and repairs

  • Respond promptly to emergency calls and customer service requests with a professional, helpful demeanor suitable for a corporate office setting.

  • Proactively inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment for safety hazards or malfunctions. You are the "eyes and ears" of the property during your shift.

  • Maintain the "Class A" feel of the property by performing high-quality repairs to finishes, including door hardware, ceiling tiles, and painting.

  • Troubleshoot, evaluate, and make recommendations to upgrade maintenance operations and/or implement savings opportunities

  • Maintain and operate fire and life safety systems such as; Fire alarm systems, fire pumps and related fire protection system equipment as assigned

  • Perform general carpentry and snow removal when necessary

  • Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and Company directives as related to building operations and practice safe work habits

  • Proficient with technology such as; smart phones, tablets, computers, web-based applications, building automation systems, etc.

  • Comply with C&W Uniform Dress Code while working and maintain a neat and clean appearance while on the property at times other than working hours

  • Willing to share on call responsibilities and respond to emergencies as needed.

EDUCATION

  • High School Diploma/GED; Vocational training in Electrical or apprentice level highly desired.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years in facility maintenance, with at least 2+ years specifically in a commercial office environment .

  • 2-4 years of dedicated electrical experience (Apprentice level or equivalent OJT). You should be comfortable diagnosing, repairing and installing general electrical issues

  • Proven ability to work independently and manage a building without immediate supervision.

  • Excellent communication skills; experience interacting with corporate tenants or professional clients is highly preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Required to be on your feet the majority of the shift

  • Must have ability to stoop, stand, climb, frequently lift a minimum of 50 lbs. of equipment (pumps, tools, ladders) and safely install rigging/lifting devices

  • Regularly required to crouch and reach to install/move equipment by bending forward at the waist

  • Involves movement between departments, floors, and properties to facilitate work

  • Regularly required to utilize vision abilities, allowing reading of printed material, drawings, and schematics

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.

The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.

The compensation for the position is: $26.56 - $31.25
