Job Summary and Responsibilities
As a Pre/Post Surgery RN, you will integrate the nursing process and standards into daily practice, applying growth and development knowledge to interventions and providing care tailored to each patient's changing needs.
Daily, you will deliver efficient, safe patient care during the critical period following anesthesia and invasive procedures. This involves using the nursing process, delegating to and evaluating subordinate staff, and coordinating support services.
Success in this role requires a strong grasp of surgical nursing principles, meticulous patient focus, and the ability to manage complex care in a critical, fast-paced environment.
Skilled performance in extreme life threatening emergencies.
Prioritizing, coordinating, and meeting multiple patient needs and requests in a timely manner.
Anticipating and preventing periods of extreme workload within a shift as evidenced by good time management and organizational skills.
Detection and documentation of significant changes in a patient’s condition.
Assist patients to understand their illness and the effects of lifestyle including diet, activity, smoking and weight loss.
Assess and evaluate a patient’s readiness to learn, and consider factors affecting a patient’s learning ability and knowledge level.

Graduate of an accredited nursing program, upon hire and
Registered Nurse: TN, upon hire and
Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire and
Advanced Cardiac Life Support, within 6 - months and
Pediatric Advanced Life Support, within 6 - months
Preferred
Bachelors Of Nursing Nursing, upon hire and
At least one (1) years’ experience in postoperative surgical area or ICU
