LifeSaver Mints Processing Operator - 12 Hour Night Shift
The LifeSavers Mint (LSM) Processing Operator will safely and efficiently make LifeSaver Mints. The LSM Processing Operator is responsible for operating automated and/or manual manufacturing equipment used to produce mints following the established manufacturing procedures and prescribed formulas with exactness. They will complete two-hour quality checks while also maintaining production targets in processing. The job exists to fulfil customer requirements for all LifeSaver Mints. Operators are also responsible for on time and accurate hourly quality checks, escalation for downtime, and maintenance of equipment.
What are we looking for?
High school diploma or equivalent
2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
Basic math skills required to calculate ingredients
Pallet jack operation
Participate as a team player in accomplishing all company goals and objectives
Mixing or related experience preferred
Physical requirements:
Frequent lifting/carrying of containers (up to 50lbs.)
Frequent bending/kneeling/crouching/twisting
Frequent reaching and finger movements
Frequent standing
What will be your key responsibilities?
Perform general housekeeping duties including cleaning out blenders, extruders and hoppers, cleaning the conveyor belts as well as cleaning up excess ingredients around the processing equipment.
Complete frequent observation of work-in-process and the completion of required recording, such as Quality Checks.
Independently operate processing machines and produce a quality mint product in a team-based environment.
This position will be required to cross train in various positions in the processing department
