Robert Half Accounts Receivable Specialist in Chattanooga, Tennessee
Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Chattanooga, Tennessee. In this role, you will manage essential financial tasks, including managing an aging report, payment processing, and collections and billing troubleshooting. This contract position is ideal for someone with strong accounting skills who can work independently and efficiently. This position requires IMMEDIATE AVAILABILITY and onsite presence in Chattanooga, Tennessee
Responsibilities:
• Process and apply payments accurately to customer accounts using multiple systems.
• Review aging report to determine collection efforts needed.
• Execute collection efforts, including contacting clients via phone and email, and researching billing issues to resolve discrepancies.
• Perform rebilling as needed for customer accounts.
• Support accounts receivable tasks by verifying invoice details and updating due dates.
• Assist with entering and managing invoices and documentation in customer invoicing portals.
• Reconcile insurance reimbursements by following transaction flows and resolving discrepancies.
• Handle data entry tasks to support accounts receivable and accounts payable functions.
• Upload and maintain accurate financial records in the system.

Requirements
• Proven experience in accounts receivable and B2B collections.
• Excellent communication skills, both by phone and email.
• Proficiency in using accounting software such as Great Plains, Epicor, NetSuite or similar platforms.
• Strong understanding of aging report processes.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Experience with customer invoicing portals is preferred.
• Strong data entry skills with a focus on accuracy.
