Job Title: Mechanical Assembler Job Description
Join our dynamic team in building large custom water purification systems. These extensive piping apparatuses produce reverse osmosis filtration water for industries such as mining, nuclear plants, sports stadiums, and large commercial buildings. Each day brings new challenges and experiences in this project-based environment, where creativity and teamwork come together in an air-conditioned space.
Responsibilities
Read and interpret engineering drawings to determine material size and type.
Configure items for proper fitment and assemble parts using bolts, glue, screws, or other fastening methods.
Fabricate systems according to specifications, drawings, and verbal instructions.
Operate machines necessary for assembling parts and test fitment of components before modifications.
Measure, cut, and fasten plumbing materials such as PVC, stainless steel, copper, or other galvanized materials.
Secure customized production material onto custom frames.
Test equipment to ensure proper functionality.
Assist with preparing systems and equipment for shipment.
Help receive materials and follow proper procedures.
Organize production parts and inventory according to established practices.
Participate in cross-training activities to assist in other production areas as needed.
Essential Skills
6 months to 1+ year of experience with a tape measure, reading in both inches and centimeters.
Experience with hand and power tools such as screwdrivers, drills, and wrenches.
Mechanical assembly or construction experience of at least 6 months.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
PVC pipe fitting experience is a plus.
Ability to cut and use a saw.
Blueprint reading skills.
Fabrication experience is beneficial but not required.
Plumbing experience is a nice to have.

Work Environment
Work in a newly moved large production shop with a spacious assembly area, as well as small wiring and welding sections. Enjoy a relaxed environment where open communication is encouraged, especially regarding time off.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chaska, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr.
