Aerotek Mechanical Assembler in Chaska, Minnesota
Mechanical Assembler
1st Shift $22-23/hr
What You’ll Do
Read and interpret engineering drawings to determine materials and dimensions
Configure parts for proper fitment and fasten components using bolts, glue, screws, and other methods
Fabricate components based on specifications, schematics, and verbal instruction
Operate machines and hand/power tools required for assembly
Test-fit components prior to modifying parts
Measure, cut, and assemble plumbing materials (PVC, stainless steel, copper, galvanized)
Secure custom equipment onto metal frames
Test completed equipment to ensure proper functionality
Assist with preparing systems and loose components for shipping
Support receiving tasks and follow proper material-handling procedures
Maintain organized inventory and production areas
Participate in cross-training and support other areas as needed
Essential Skills
PVC and pipe-fitting proficiency
Ability to read and interpret blueprints
Skilled with hand and power tools (drills, wrenches, saws, screwdrivers, etc.)
Experience in mechanical assembly or construction
Ability to use a tape measure accurately (inches and centimeters)
6 months–1+ year experience using basic tools and performing mechanical tasks

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chaska, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr.
