Baseline Requirements:

Cybersecurity Software Engineering Intern

Cybersecurity, Information Security, Security Relations

Education:

Required: Student BS Electrical/ Computer Engineering, Computer Science - 3 to 5 semesters completed

Preferred: Student MS Computer Engineering, Computer Science, need strong interest in Information Security / Cybersecurity

Basic Required Skillset:

  • Proficient in software design and development. Familiarity with Python, JavaScript and UML is a plus

  • Ability to read, comprehend and work with long documents (Security Standards and Regulations for example)

  • Ability to write summary reports and 6-pagers

  • Ability to use Siemens approved AI tools to optimize work process

  • Familiar with computer networking concepts. Knowledge of cloud computing is a plus

  • Understanding of information security concepts

  • Knowledge of secure design and development

  • Understanding of software development processes

  • Excellent problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Quick learner

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with remote teams

  • Ability to adhere to scheduled and team-agreed timelines

Responsibilities

The responsibilities include but are not limited to the following.

  • Create syncs linking security monitoring tools to GRC tools

  • Create dashboard to monitor risks and vulnerabilities

  • Create scripts to parse and compare existing documentation to create new documents

  • Create tools to be used by the organization to keep the GRC tools up to date

  • Gain understanding ofsecurity regulations like EU CRA and standards like IEC 62443

The hourly range for this position is $18.00 to $50.00. Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to employees. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location, as well as degree type and relevant education.
