Our client, a leading organization in the financial services industry, is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join their team. As a Developer Experience Engineer – Test Automation, you will be part of the Quality & Test Engineering Product team supporting engineering teams across the enterprise. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for enabling developer success, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)
Location: Charlotte, NC (Preferred) or Wilmington, DE (Secondary Option)
What's the Job?
Support the adoption of automated testing tools and frameworks across engineering teams.
Guide developers on leveraging AI-assisted development and testing tools effectively.
Participate in developer office hours to answer questions and provide technical guidance.
Create and maintain technical documentation, user guides, and example code for testing tools and AI capabilities.
Evaluate AI-based testing solutions and experiment with AI development tools to create sample workflows.
What's Needed?
5+ years of professional experience in software development or engineering-related roles.
Hands-on experience with Java, C#, or Python programming languages.
Experience implementing functional automated testing frameworks such as Selenium, Cucumber, Playwright, or Karate.
Exposure to AI development tools like GitHub Copilot, Claude, or similar platforms.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience creating technical documentation or developer guides.
