Robert Half Senior Technical Project Manager in Charlotte, North Carolina
Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Project Manager to lead large-scale, enterprise-level technology initiatives. This role requires strategic oversight, executive-level communication, and the ability to manage complex, multi-phase programs across infrastructure, networking, and software environments. This is a leadership position responsible for driving delivery excellence, aligning technology strategy with business objectives, and mentoring junior project managers.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead large, cross-functional IT programs from initiation through deployment
Manage project portfolios, budgets, forecasting, and executive reporting
Drive enterprise infrastructure, cloud, networking, and systems initiatives
Oversee risk management, change control, and governance processes
Facilitate executive steering committees and stakeholder alignment
Ensure resource planning and vendor management across multiple teams
Implement and refine PMO standards, documentation, and best practices
Mentor junior PMs and support professional development within the team
Requirements
Qualifications:
7+ years of experience managing complex technical projects
Proven success delivering enterprise IT or infrastructure initiatives
Strong financial acumen (budget ownership, forecasting, cost control)
Experience presenting to senior leadership and C-suite stakeholders
Deep understanding of SDLC, Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies
Experience managing multiple concurrent high-visibility initiatives
PMP certification strongly preferred. Experience in enterprise infrastructure, cloud transformation, or network modernization initiatives is highly desirable.
