What You’ll Do as a Placemaking + Community Senior Project Manager
Lead the strategic planning, design direction, and delivery of mid- to large-scale planning and landscape architecture projects from initiation through implementation.
Develop innovative land use, urban design, and site design strategies that support vibrant, sustainable, and resilient communities.
Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, staffing, billing, and quality control to ensure successful and timely project delivery.
Lead design strategy and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, partners, and stakeholders to align project outcomes with client goals.
Serve as the primary client contact, providing updates, building strong relationships, and ensuring exceptional client service.
Prepare competitive proposals, scopes of work, and project plans while supporting business development efforts in collaboration with the Client Services team.
Navigate complex public processes and municipal approvals, including zoning and regulatory requirements.
Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship to team members to support project success and professional growth.
Represent Fisher Associates in professional organizations, business groups, and community activities while promoting the firm’s capabilities.
Requirements
What You’ll Do as a Placemaking + Community Senior Project Manager

What You Bring, Your Expertise as a Placemaking + Community DesignProject Manager
Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Urban/Regional Planning, Community Planning, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
10-15+ years of experience leading planning or landscape architecture projects, including client management and team leadership.
Licensed Landscape Architect (PLA/RLA) or AICP certified preferred, or ability to obtain licensure/certification.
Strong knowledge of land use planning, zoning and development regulations, environmental regulations, and municipal approval processes.
Experience managing multidisciplinary projects, project budgets, schedules, and client relationships, including support of business development and proposals.
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, ArcGIS, SketchUp, and related mapping or visualization tools.
Ability to develop clear plans, maps, graphics, reports, and presentations, and a passion for Smart Growth, placemaking, and community-centered design.

Salary Range$120,000-$155,000
Actual compensation may vary based on relevant experience, qualifications/education, and other factors. The salary range is not necessarily reflective of the actual total compensation that may be earned nor promises any specific pay for any specific employee.
